Youri Hoffmann will use your address to send you one email telling you the service is open. Nothing is passed to anyone for their own advertising.
We send a confirmation email first. Nothing is stored as a subscription, and nothing is ever sent, unless you click the link in it.
Your address is deleted within a week of the announcement going out, unless you also tick the second box. You can withdraw at any time using the link in any email we send, or by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawing does not affect the lawfulness of anything sent before it.
What we keep afterwards is the record that consent was given: the time, the wording you agreed to, which of the two boxes you ticked, and one way hashes of your address and of the IP addresses the request and the confirmation came from. Art. 7(1) GDPR requires us to be able to produce it.
You must be at least 16 to give this consent.
The optional second boxOptional and separate. Your address is then kept until you withdraw instead of being deleted after the announcement.
This box is optional and it is a separate decision. The announcement is sent whether you tick it or not, and leaving it empty changes nothing else about your signup.
If you tick it, Youri Hoffmann will also send you occasional emails about the product: what has been built, what is changing, and what is going away. A handful a year, not a schedule, and never anybody else's advertising.
Every one of those emails carries a one click removal link, and you can withdraw at any time by writing to [email protected]. Withdrawing deletes your address, and it does not affect the lawfulness of anything sent before it.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and § 7(2) no. 2 UWG, given separately from the consent above.
